Counsel EM
Counsel EM is an application that not only provides up-to-date information from the emergency medicine literature but also maximizes the use of technology to facilitate and optimize patient care processes. Traditional medical education and patient care have been undergoing a long-standing transformation, and Counsel EM offers a digitized, modern version of this transformation. Additionally, unlike traditional medicine, Counsel EM brings a new perspective to emergency medicine, especially through models that allow us to reach preliminary diagnoses from symptoms and signs, as well as diagnostic and treatment algorithms. While primarily developed for physicians working in the emergency department, Counsel EM is an application that can be effectively utilized by other specialty physicians, particularly family physicians and intensivists. Counsel EM consists of sections on Diseases, Cards, Scores, Procedures, Blood Gas Application, Diagnostic-Treatment Protocols, and Symptoms to Diagnosis.

Blood Gas Application
Blood Gas Application
The Blood Gas Application provides information about the acid-base situation of the patients whom their data entered. Given the difficulty for physicians to remember blood gas formulas, this app facilitates the interpretation of blood gas results. Blood Gas application also evaluates the validation of blood gas devices, thus enabling physicians to have an idea about the reliability of the results. Another innovation in the Blood Gas Application is the transfer of the results to the application screen by taking a photo and avoiding the time loss in manual data entry.
Scores
Scores
Medical scores are an indispensable part of current patient management, especially in emergency settings. In this section, medical scores commonly used in the emergency department are digitalized and made available to physicians.
Diagnosis and Treatment Algorithms
Diagnosis and Treatment Algorithms
Diagnosis and Treatment Algorithms consist of the algorithmic management of symptoms and tests commonly seen in the emergency department. Unlike classical algorithms, it guides the physician step by step to the result.
Symptoms to Diagnosis
Symptoms to Diagnosis
In this section, preliminary diagnoses are presented to physicians in order of probability based on data such as symptoms, signs, physical examination, and ECG findings. It is categorized into sections based on diseases such as neurology, infectious diseases, toxicology, etc. Of note, the diagnoses in this section are preliminary diagnoses, not the definite ones, based on the relationship between the entered data and diseases.

Counsel EM is an application created to contribute to healthcare professionals in almost every aspect of patient care processes. It will continue to be developed and updated regularly. Additionally, it should be remembered that Counsel EM serves as a clinical decision-tool assisting the physicians and does not replace them, and all responsibility for patient care remains with the physicians.

This application is designed for physicians and is particularly not suitable for use by non-medical individuals. If used by someone outside the medical profession, they should seek medical advice from a physician before making any decisions.
